How to Benefit from the Texas Educator Housing Affordability Fund in Hays CISD

The Texas Educator Housing Affordability Fund 

 

Are you a teacher or staff member seeking affordable housing options?  

 

Hays CISD, in partnership with the Texas Educator Housing Affordability Fund (TEHAF), announces an innovative program designed to provide rent assistance for qualified educators.

 

TEHAF will directly contribute $250 per month towards rent to qualifying participants at The Chloe Kyle or Oasis at Plum Creek.

1. Schedule a virtual or in person tour at one of our two participating apartments:  

• The Chloe Kyle: Go to Thechloekyle.com and click on schedule an appointment or email thechloeamgr@greystar.com

•  Oasis at Plum Creek: Visit www.oasisatplumcreek.com and click on schedule an appointment or email Monique.Hamilton@HighmarkRes.com.

        

2. Choose an apartment: Once you've made your selection, a move-in date will lock in your discount. The online rate does not represent the exclusive educator rate.

3. Receive your discount: You will automatically receive $250 discount a month and see a deduction on your first month's rent for the application fee.

​

Educators will continue receiving the deduction as long as they are employed by Hays CISD. ​
